Leadership
Michelle A. Nicholas is the Founder and CEO of The Nico Consulting, Inc. (TNC), a boutique consulting firm specializing in strategic planning, marketing and communications, and leadership development to national and international entities. With more than two decades of experience in leadership, fundraising, advocacy and marketing, Ms. Nicholas uses her experience and expertise to provide tangible solutions for clients that directly improve their growth and success.
An award-winning leader and advocate who has held senior positions in government, corporate and non-profit sectors both nationally and internationally. Nicholas is focused on advancing the wellbeing of all. She has been recognized by the Westchester Business Council, The Network Journal, United Way of Westchester and Putnam, Caribbean Life, Women of Mission International and Face2Face Africa for her work in bridging the gap between available resources and those who need them.
Nicholas is also Executive Director of Girls Inc. Westchester, a leadership development organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of girls (ages 9-18) by helping them become Strong, Smart, and Bold! Girls Inc. delivers girls-only programming throughout Westchester County to teach girls how to achieve goals, confront challenges, prepare for college, explore non-traditional career paths, and use their knowledge and strength to promote positive change for themselves and their communities.
Most recently Nicholas co-created an award to honor Influential Women Leaders in Guyana, South America, who are impacting their companies and communities. She also founded Sexual Assault and Family Education (S.A.F.E.) Guyana, an organization that provides support for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and those struggling with mental health and other social issues in the diaspora and Guyana.
Nicholas is a graduate of the University of Guyana, Rio Branco Institute, Volunteer New York’s Leadership Westchester, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s Citizens’ Academy and Mount Vernon Citizens’ Police Academy.
Passionate about giving back, she has chaired and serves several organizations including Rotary Club of Wall Street, Association of Development Officers, NonProfit Westchester and Westchester’s Women Agenda. She is also a graduate of the University of Guyana, Volunteer NewYork’s Leadership Westchester, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)’s Citizens’ Academy and Mount Vernon Citizens’ Police Academy.
